Séance at historic haunted location with Edward Shanahan

2010 seen many and in some cases almost weekly Private Chicago Paranormal Nights, where private groups, usually made up of friends, would book a private paranormal night with me and Prairie State Paranormal. Some private groups even did so for the reason that they wanted a unique birthday party get together and one of these birthday parties was held four days before Halloween and provided a unique experience during my séance for all those who attended and is showcased in the video at this web page: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfT7efsdW3E

 

2010 seen one new very special item for me that was one I created for all those interested in taking a free guided Chicago Paranormal Tour of Haunted Archer Avenue in Willow Springs, IL at any time you desire and at your own pace to investigate the nearly 20 locations. This creation is a downloadable App with GPS, photos for location references, audio historic and paranormal history of each stop. If your as far as 100 miles from Chicago, the GPS will take you from your location to the very first stop on Archer Avenue and it is a location of one of Resurrection Mary's Haunts. Then the App with GPS will guide you to each location after the first one. So you don't have to pay the high cost of what some ghost tours charge to view less at the pace they desire, as this is free and several hundred have been downloaded already with nice reviews of it. The haunted Willow Creek Farm

2010 provided us with one location that is a private home, a haunted farmhouse and property with paranormal activity. The Willow Creek Farm in Shannon, IL was the location and both dates their, we had an over night at the location, will be ones that individuals remember. From spending time in a room that was the area a sick child spent many hours and holding a wonderful mini two person type of séance in there, to the full séance held in the dining room of the farm house on both of the dates we were there. This location provided for many, unique paranormal experiences. Those who participated on these nights were a joy to be with and I am looking forward to be back there in 2011.

 

In 2010 The Tinker Swiss Cottage in Rockford provided us with a new Historical location for me to bring individuals to investigate, and also for me to provide my séances at for those who attended. A great active location that came to me by way of Kathi Kresol of the Rockford Public Library. You can view a video from the location her.

 

The haunted Senator John Humphrey House in Orland Pk. IL

 

2010 also brought us back for a paranormal day at the historic location, Senator John Humphrey House in Orland Pk. IL A nice Historical and Paranormal tour of the location and was free to those who attended on this day. Joining me on this day with assisting individuals and discussing paranormal tools was Prairie State Paranormal - Investigation Team. The location is exclusive for my paranormal use, has it's ties to Bachelor's Grove Cemetery and there has always been an open door policy from their Historical Society to me.

 

The Irish Legend – haunted location in Willow Springs, IL

2010 also provided me with a location I called my home base for paranormal nights, The Irish Legend in Willow Springs, IL; (also known before as the Stag's Head under a different owner). This location at one time was a Speakeasy and Brothel and is very, very active as is the forest that surrounds it and at times we ventured in to. I personally have a history with the location that goes back a few past owners and my history with the location has allowed me to be published in three different paranormal books about the location and the haunted S.W. Side Suburbs of the Chicago land area.

The haunted Chet’s Melody Lounge – a Resurrection Mary haunt.

2010 also provided a first for me and others at a location I had been at a few times when Ms. Ursula Bielski would ask me to assist her on her ghost tours on the Chicago S.W. Side Suburbs  (do to my years and knowledge of the locations and written about in her recent Chicago Haunts 3 book and as expressed in the free App above). The location is Chet's Melody Lounge, a haunted location across the street from Resurrection Cemetery, the resting place of Resurrection Mary. I was asked to provide a séance at the location for a private group of individuals. The séance was very successful and a location I hope to do again sometime in 2011.

2010 also provided me the ability to provide historic combined with paranormal tours on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at The Irish Legend in Willow Springs, IL. This allowed me to explain how the false story of the little child spirit came about at the location and also the history of the land when it was part of the history of the Native Americans in the area.

Prairie State Paranormal – Kelcie, Ian, Brooke

2010 provided me with something that was a great find, as they are a very dedicated investigation team along with being just three great individuals to have assisting me and those who attend the Chicago Paranormal Nights, they are Prairie State Paranormal, Brooke, Kelcie and Ian.

2010 also seen many, many individuals come out for a paranormal experience and the ability to explore documented haunted locations. I even welcomed the skeptics as I enjoyed their reactions to their unexplained experiences. Also those who found the paranormal nights to be an experience they were seeking and was provided for them, was very special for me.

2010 was the creation of the new web site by me 'Chicago Paranormal Nights' and has also seen my personal web site (edwardshanahan.com), for my Psychic Readings and Paranormal Information go over 341,871 visits in a very short time. Now there are a total of four web sites
that are run by me and are listed below.

2010 also allowed me to be an in studio guest on WGN radio talking about the paranormal and doing readings for callers, and can be heard here at this WGN web page.

2010 also had Andrew Finnigan who is a radio personality on Chicago's KISS FM 103.5, and his crew and guests participate in a Chicago Paranormal Night with me providing a Séance at the end of the night. 2010 also had my daughter joining me at a couple locations (private and public), and allowing her abilities (different and stronger), to slowly open up and also building within her, as I'm a firm believer in one must crawl before they can walk.

2010  was a year of experiences and almost non-stop. I am looking forward to 2011 and what is already starting to be a promising year.

' First, I would like to say Thank you for such an interesting evening at the Willow Creek Farm. My daughter Sara & I were totally intrigued and thoroughly enjoyed our experiences. The memories of that evening will certainly stay with us for quite some time. I will never forget seeing the black shadow of Dr Graham as he came down the staircase, and stood at the threshold of the staircase door. I was sure at any moment all hell would break loose. WOW ! Sara is still intrigued as to how she felt the numbness in her hands and the feeling of her wrists being tied when up in "Robbies"room with you conducting a mini seance. She learned that ghost hunting is not about walking from room to room asking for a sign, but rather sitting in the room and communicating with the spirits in a respectful way, We will leave the provoking of spirits like Dr Graham to you !! Edward, you certainly very impressive on many different levels. We appreciate the manor in which the whole evening was conducted.
