How would you answer these
questions? ...
If You Died Today Would You Come Back To Haunt
The Living? And how would you haunt them? Would you come back
from the other side to let someone know that their is an afterlife?
We posed these question to many people in and out the Paranormal
Investigation field and got a few surprising if not intriguing
answers.
Troy Taylor
Troy Taylor is the author of 55 books about history, hauntings
and the unexplained in America and is the founder and president
of the “American Ghost Society”, a national network

haunted houses and uses investigative techniques to track down
evidence of the supernatural. He is also the creator of the
Haunted America Conference (America’s original ghost conference)
and the owner of the Illinois & American Hauntings Tours,
which offers ghost tours in the Illinois cities of Alton, Chicago,
Decatur, Lebanon, Jacksonville, and Watseka, and offers overnight
excursions to haunted places all over the country. He has appeared
in newspaper and magazine articles about ghosts and has also
been fortunate enough to be interviewed hundreds of times for
radio and television broadcasts about the supernatural. He has
appeared in a number of documentary films, several television
series and in one feature film about the paranormal. He also
the executive producer for the series Cringe, which was created
by the iClips Network. He and his wife, Haven, currently reside
in Central Illinois.

If you died today, would you haunt your family?
If I died today, and it’s possible to come back by choice,
I would do so, but “haunting” my family would not
really be something that I would want to do. I suppose that
I would check in with them to make sure that they are okay,
but I would not stay around. I would be more interested in lingering
at places that I loved during my lifetime, not bothering people
– unless they deserved to be haunted, of course!
I guess this answers the other questions… but Would you
come back from the other side to let someone know that there
is an afterlife?
Absolutely! If it’s at all possible to return, I intend
to do so and have a number of people with whom I have made arrangements
to try and give them a sign. Unfortunately, one of the friends
that I made the arrangement with died last year but I never
heard anything for him (and neither did anyone else), which
has me concerned about the viability of “returning by
choice”, but I guess I’ll just have to wait and
see when the time comes!

If you died today would you haunt your family?
Yes
And how would you haunt them?
I would haunt them in various ways depending on my abilities
to do so in the afterlife. I would try to leave them messages
or hints that I am fine and that there is indeed an afterlife.
I would attempt to manifest as a full body apparition or whisper
messages in their ears. If this did not work then I would take
advantage of any technological means to leave an imprint of
my existence, such as leaving messages on a voice recorder if
operating or through the telephone, television or other available
electronic devices.
How long would you stay around?
With having children I would feel obligated to watch over them.
If I liked having the ability to haunt, then who knows? I may
stay around several generations or outreach to others as well.
Hell, maybe even the neighborhood grocery store would get visits
from me.
Would you come back from the other side to let someone know
that there is an afterlife?
Most definitely yes!

If you died today Would you haunt your family?
I do not believe that ghosts see the world or even think like
we do. I believe they dwell in a world of emotion. Because of
my link to my family I would visit them because I love them.
I believe this is rather common really. I would try in any way
I could to help them.
And how would you haunt them?
I would make myself known to them, Maybe appear or do something
symbolic so they would know that its me and to not be afraid.
I would let them know I was OK and everything is as it should
be. I would be there when it was their time to join me in the
next life.
How long would you stay around?
I would stay round as long as I am needed. I may leave for
a time only to return at the important points in the lives of
my family and grandchildren. I do not believe ghosts live in
our time frame so 20 years may seem like 1 to them.
Would you come back from the other side to let someone know
that their is an afterlife?
No. That seems such a trivial thing. You believe or you do
not. I would comeback out of love to help my people in times
of need. I would try to bring comfort. Besides, all of my family
believe in an afterlife. I am no Houdini.
Lisa Lee Harp Waugh
A professional Necromancer and founder of the Sorcerers Guild
of greater Houston and Galveston, Texas. Waugh has been practicing
and conducting rituals for many paranormal investigators for
over 20 years. Waugh also paints many spiritual and common murals
and lives in a small Texas town with her three dogs. She also
over the years makes ceremonial candles and is active in ghost
hunting in the deep South. Summoning the dead to communicate
with the living is a natural daily occurrence for Waugh. "I
have been doing this since I was a child." " When
I lived in Galveston, Texas about 15 years ago, I was introduced
to the ancient rights of ceremonial Necromancy as a ritual by
a great shaman called Freebird, and because of him and his diligence
to the art, I still practice it until this day." "However,
if a spirit has something vital to impart to you, they will
call upon you, not vice-versa and no ritual is needed".
Waugh, a real big hearted Texas gal does not comment on any
of this privately or publicly ... for she is humble in her paranormal
studies and research to the core. Gina Lanier a close friend
of her's relates: "Waugh is a very outgoing friendly, charming
and a downright loveable person, and gets along equally well
with the living and the dead." Lanier and Waugh once investigated
a real Haunted Texas Federal Prison together for close to two
years in the early 1990's and had many startling paranormal
adventures while there.

If you died today, would you haunt your family?
No I would not haunt my family. I have no family left alive,
except for my child, and I would not "haunt" her.
I would like to be able to follow her through her life, make
sure she is safe and ok.
And how would you haunt them?
Like I said above, there would not be a haunting, just a very
watchful eye.
How long would you stay around?
I would love to hang around long enough to see my great great
great grandchildren. And also to be able to see what the future
holds for this earth. Maybe gas will only cost a nickel a gallon!
Or maybe there will be cures for all illness. Something like
that. And then I would go on to my next life and be happy that
I have seen and witnessed change on the world of the living.
Would you come back from the other side to let someone know
that there is an afterlife?
I do not know if there is actually a way to come back and "tell"
someone what is over there unless you use Necromancy or a medium.
That is why no one here now actually knows for sure and sometime
spirits or ghosts can only say what they know are possibly allowed
to say. I think that is something for us all to find out in
our own way. Like a surprise. Hopefully a good surprise.

If you died today would you haunt your family?
I would drop in from time to time. Hell I figure why not bring
them some joy, I am sure they are fighting over my millions
anyway...hahahaha
And how would you haunt them? Probably show up on gameday, sit
on the couch and crack a beer with them, and ask for the remote.
Now thats relaxation!
How long would you stay around?
As long as possible. But if I see an Exorcist coming in, I
am floating to the hills, I am not into all that pea soup and
drama......
Would you come back from the other side to let someone know
that their is an afterlife?
Yes I would, I have spent too much time not to have a conclusion
to all of this. I would probably wake Troy Taylor and Loyd Auerbach
out of a dead sleep and tell them hello and I'm HEEERRRREEEE!.....why
not harrass your friends, and show ones enthusiasm for the study.
I already promised Troy a specific signal so he would know its
me, nothing like a friendly sign to confirm an appointment :).........heh
heh heh
Charles J. Adams III
Charles J. Adams III, Reading, PA, is presently about to publish
"Ghost Stories of the Lehigh Valley, Book Two," and
will begin several more books in the fall. I will be doing ghost
research in Europe this summer, and embark on a very busy storytelling
schedule in September. I have also been asked to serve as an
"expert" for two worldwide television production companies
doing shows about haunted places.
If you died today would you haunt your family? And how would
you haunt them? How long would you stay around?
I often use the words "haunted" and "enchanted"
interchangeably. Thus and so, I would prefer to say I would
"enchant" my family with my ghostly presence. I would,
if I could, help to guide them in the right direction, bring
good fortune to them, and provide some humor for them. I woud
"stay around" until they came to join me wherever
I am and in whatever form I would be.
Would you come back from the other side to let someone know
that their is an afterlife?
I don't think I would. As a living, breathing human, I am intrigued
by the mystery of whatever is on "the other side."
I wouldn't want to destroy that mystery.
Susan Sheppard
Not only is Susan Sheppard the creator of the Haunted Parkersburg
Ghost Tours, she is also well respected for her abilities as
a psychic medium. She has worked as psychic and a spiritualist
medium since age fourteen and as a paranormal investigator for
the last decade. This came about when her friends overheard
a well-known psychic tell Susan that she, too, had "the
gift" and should use her special abilities to help others.
This was no surprise to Susan's family who had witnessed her
uncanny abilities since early childhood.
Her West Virginia childhood might have some bearing on her
interest in the paranormal. Sheppard is "Black Dutch,"
meaning she is descended from the less than 850 Shawnee Indians
who remained east of the Mississippi River after the other Shawnee
(during the "Trial of Tears" removal) were forced
onto reservations out west in the 1830s. Susan, along with others
in the Friend family, is a direct descendent of Shawnee Chief
Big Thunder through his daughter, Bright Lightning, whose name
was anglicized to "Anna Friend."
Susan grew up just a few hills away from the first sighting
of the famous West Virginia Mothman. It was during this time
that Sheppard’s family home underwent a great deal of
paranormal activity sparking her interest in the unknown while
tapping into her natural psychic talents. However, Sheppard
has had direct communications with spirits of her Native American
ancestors since around age four when she met the ghosts of two
Indian braves on the hillside above her grandparent's house
in broad daylight. Though very small, she understood the braves
to be both her ancestors and her guides. Ms. Sheppard’s
adolescence was spent partly doing psychic readings along with
school work and sometimes working with local law enforcement
on missing person cases. She later grew up with the aspirations
of becoming a published author and an artist, both of which
she achieved. Sheppard has authored a number of popular books
which are sold worldwide and has continued with her art in many
venues. Her poetry alone has won many prestigious awards.
Susan has never strayed from her interests in the spirit world
and has continued to work in the field as a medium, as well
as a practicing astrologer. In the last few years she has worked
primarily as a psychic medium and a paranormal investigator
on various ghost hunts and investigations. She also leads séances,
does clearings and performs platform style readings before the
public for which she is the most famous in her area.
Last year, Susan was featured on the ABC Family Channel’s
popular show “Scariest Places on Earth” as a psychic
medium at the Shawnee Amusement Park in Bluefield, West Virginia.
She has previously taught “Be Your Own Psychic”
classes at the Self-Health & Awareness Center and continues
appear before audiences and live television as a psychic medium.
Not only is Susan an exceptional psychic, she is knowledgeable
in the field of the unknown. She remains up-to-date on the latest
developments in research concerning the paranormal. Contact
her at sheppard@wirefire.com

If you died today would you haunt your family?
Of course not. Unless there was a real reason to return --
sometimes spirits like to return to places they once lived in
order to remember, re-experience the past life time, or to bring
a message across to the living. I don't haunt my family by showing
up and living with them right now so I doubt would do that after
death.
And how would you haunt them?
I suppose if I did, I would appear in dreams and try to bring
my message across to the living. Or I would move or displace
objects that may have had something to do with my former life
in order for them to figure out who is doing the haunting.
How long would you stay around?
Only moments of time. Earth is slow and tedious -- it is so
much faster and easier to move about as a spirit in the afterlife.
If you can imagine a life with no aches and pains, and instantaneous
emotions and connections, unhindered by space and time, why
would anyone want to come back here? There has to be a strong
reason for a spirit to return such as some buried treasure,
a problem in the will or to warn someone of oncoming danger.
However, many ghosts don't like letting go of their jobs or
duties -- especially if they invested a lot of energy into them.
I've met many workaholic ghosts.
Would you come back from the other side to let someone know
that their is an afterlife?
I don't think most ghosts even care about that. Most come
back to reassure their loved ones that they are just fine and
to not grieve too much over their passings. In fact, most tales
of ghosts are spirit recordings or residual hauntings, meaning
is a type of time warp where there is no personality to the
ghost -- that the soul has aleady moved on.

If you died today, would you haunt your family?
No. I might spy on a couple of my ex-girlfriends but that
would be about it. Ok, that was COMPLETELY a joke.
And how would you haunt them?
I might hang out for the funeral but I think I can find better
things to do than stick around with family to hear them bad
mouth me once I'm gone. Again, I kid because I love.
How long would you stay around?
Only briefly. I'd like to think there is a whole other world
to see on the other side.
Would you come back from the other side to let someone know
that their is an afterlife?
Where's the fun in that? If Houdini didn't do it, I certainly
wouldn't. Besides, I would put all the Franks Box and K2 people
out of business. With the economy like it is, I would feel bad
to be putting people out of work.

1. IF YOU DIED TODAY, WOULD YOU HAUNT YOUR FAMILY?
ABSOLUTELY! They cannot get rid of me THAT easily!
2. HOW WOULD YOU HAUNT THEM?
My family has been around me and my life work a long time, and
therefore they know and understand the spirit world. I would
be there for all their needs and yet leave them alone in their
personal and quiet times ~ unless I felt ornery ~. But I WOULD
be there for all major events, holidays, and to let them know
I love them. Understand I will also have a life of my own to
conduct on the other side, but as I get on with it, I will be
making a comfortable place for them when their time comes.
3. HOW LONG WOULD YOU STAY AROUND?
Well, for my critics, FOREVER, a thorn in theirs side! LOL!
But for those I love, again, I will be there for comfort in
their needs. Dying has nothing to do with leaving others, it
is about moving to another place. You come back to visit.
4. WOULD YOU COME BACK FROM THE OTHER SIDE TO LET SOMEONE KNOW
THAT THEIR IS AN AFTERLIFE?
Absolutely. Of course. My family already knows there is another
side as we all see Spirit. But yes, I would, why would we want
anyone to be unclear about that? Letting people know there is
an afterlife makes their own mortality easier to accept, as
well as the acceptance of the death of those they love. We never
lose people or pets, we are still able to be in communication.
Mitchel Whitington
Mitchel Whitington is an author and speaker on the subject
of the supernatural. While traveling around the country, he
has investigated haunted places from one coast to the other,
and is a popular speaker at paranormal conferences. Mitchel
relies more on experiences than photographs or recordings, and
believes that investigators must respect the spirits and locations
that they visit.
He is the author of several books on the paranormal, including
regional works such as "Ghosts of North Texas" and
"Ghosts of East Texas and the Pineywoods." He is also
named editor on four "Haunted Encounters" anthologies:
"Real Life Stories of Supernatural Experiences," "Personal
Stories of Departed Pets," "Ghost Stories From Around
The World," and "Departed Family and Friends."
Mitchel has also contributed to the books "Haunted Tales
of America's Jails" and "Haunted Texas Highways",
and authored the popular "A Ghost in My Suitcase: A Guide
To Haunted Travel in America". As a speaker, you will find
him traveling around the country at conferences ranging from
L.A. to Las Vegas to San Antonio. Whenever he speaks, his credo
is simple: when ghosthunting, just keep an open mind, respect
the place and the spirits there, and enjoy the experiences that
you encounter.
If you died today, would you haunt your family?
If I had the choice to come back and visit, I most definitely
would, if for no other reason than to let them know that I was
okay and that we do continue on a different plane of existence.
I’m not sure that everyone is presented with that option,
though. Houdini, for example, worked out a code word that he
would deliver to his wife it was at all possible. He sincerely
wanted to do that, but she never got the message – it
appears that old Harry couldn’t find a way back. I have
several personal friends, though, who each saw their spouse
after losing them to death, and in every case it made a huge
impact on their lives. Why one person seems to be able to come
back while another doesn’t, I can’t begin to explain.
If given the opportunity, though, I’ll be back.
And how would you haunt them?
I hope to be able to come back and visit the 1861 house that
we live in. Some of the former owners who have passed on still
do, so maybe I can join their ranks. After finding some personal
way to let my wife know that it was me, and that everything
was fine, I’d probably just hang out. I imagine that I
would come back to my favorite spot – the rocking chair
on the front porch. Whoever owns the house a hundred years from
now will probably talk about how the rocking chair starts rocking
by itself and there’s the smell of fresh coffee in the
air… that’ll be me.
How long would you stay around?
To be honest, I don’t know. I’m sure that there
are wonderful things to do on the other side that we can’t
even imagine, but I would enjoy coming back occasionally just
to look in on things.
Would you come back from the other side to let someone know
that there is an afterlife?
Certainly – especially if by doing so I could bring them
some comfort. A friend’s mother died after a terrible
illness, and my friend was in anguish over her mom’s death…
that is, until her mother came back for a visit one evening.
My friend said that she looked young and happy, and it left
her satisfied in the knowledge that wherever her mother had
gone, she was doing well. If I could help a loved one like that,
I definitely would.

If you died today would you haunt your family?
Yes their are a few people from my life I would love to keep
tabs on. When you worry about people in life I don't think you
stop worrying about them just because you die.
And how would you haunt them?
I would more likely watch over a few.....not haunt.
H ow long would you stay around?
Until all the questions I have had been answered.
Would you come back from the other side to let someone know
that their is an afterlife?
Yes, if on the other side deemed it to be necessary as knowledge
and purpose is greater there.
Kim Kowalczyk
fKim Kowalczyk is the ounder of GhostBreakers Paranormal Research
Organization at GhostBreakers.Com Right now we are involved
in an investigation where the persons 30 year old brother died
of (non-prior condition) natural causes the day following our
first investigation.
If you died today would you haunt your family?
I would visit my family as anyone would but have many others
I would HAUNT relentlessly! Some just for fun.
And how would you haunt them?
Those I would haunt? ... I would annoy them in a way that could
be compared to a toothache. A long lasting anoying pain that
won't go away no matter where they went. Haunt them. No sense
haunting a place. They could leave. Also making sure they would
associate it only with me.
How long would you stay around?
As long as I was able but, at least until they were able to
haunt someone too. However, if I could have my way, I wish all
my enemies would live to be 100. And my voice would be the last
thing they ever heard!
Would you come back from the other side to let someone know
that their is an afterlife?
I have every plan of doing so if I am able. But I will do
it for my family and organization so they get the credit for
proving the existence of the paranormal. However, if I could
get one Scientist to work with me. I think we could be well
on the way of proving the link between science and the paranormal.
Long before I am able to haunt anyone.
Alan Rupnik
Alan Rupnick is thirty-six years old and resides in Oshkosh,
Wisconsin. He has had an enthusiastic interest in ghosts and
haunted locations since he was a child. While he has dabbled
in the field since 1989 when he had his second unexplained encounter
with the paranormal, he began his most serious research in 1998.
In 2001 Alan founded the paranormal investigations team Apparitions
Inc. The team investigated several haunted locations and cemeteries
in their time together. Their most noteworthy being the Historic
Karsten Inn located in Kewaunee, Wisconsin. The group disbanded
in 2003.
IAmHaunted.com
Alan spent a lot of his time researching and talking with others
online. Though he believed the Internet was a great wealth of
information he felt that it was too spread out and a lot of
work was required to find new and relevant information. Keeping
in touch with others in the field also proved to be a time consuming
problem.
Alan has always had a love for computers and the Internet.
He had educated himself in the art of web development and loved
building websites. He decided he would put his skills to use
to create a place where all who loved the paranormal could gather,
share information and stay in touch. On November 15, 2006 he
launched IAmHaunted.com, a paranormal community that was like
no other. It was an idea that was long over due and the site
is growing in leaps and bounds. It is without a doubt one of
the most visited paranormal sites on the Internet today.
Research
Alan continues his research today. Currently he is conducting
experiments on the Ouija Board and EVP. He is also researching
cold spots, electromagnetic fields, battery drain and other
phenomenon that takes place in a haunted location. He believes
that the current explanations don’t have any scientific
foundation and are just generic answers given when people are
cornered with a tough question and don’t have a legitimate
answer
If you died today would you haunt your family?
Yes, I would haunt them.
And how would you haunt them?
Well, those who thought I was crazy would soon learn otherwise
and for those who are closest to me such as my son, I’d
merely watch over them and gently let them know that I will
always be with them.
How long would you stay around?
I think I would stay around until my son was grown and I knew
he would be alright.
Would you come back from the other side to let someone know
that their is an afterlife?
Yes I believe that I would. Providing that sort of thing was
within my power to do so.

he can also be found on many battlefields across America. Wolfe
also going to Florida at the end of May for vacation and on
the way back plans to stop at some Civil War Battle fields in
search of ghost.

If you died today, would you haunt your family?
No I would go straight to heaven. I’ve been waiting
so long to go. If God let me look in on them then that would
be ok.
And how would you haunt them?
In Pictures or maybe try to communicate somehow. I wouldn’t
want to scare them, so maybe just pictures.
How long would you stay around?
Just long as God would let me and as long as God would let
me go back to heaven.
Would you come back from the other side to let someone know
that there is an afterlife?
Yes, but as long as it wouldn’t scare them. I think
everybody’s curious about the afterlife. So finally why
not let someone know. Of course depending how one believes then
one might already know.

If you died today would you haunt your family?
Probably - my kids are too young and still at home (age two
and seven currently)
Let me say the earlier I would pass on the more "NOT READY
to go, and therefore, I am the more likely to stay behind if
possible. That is *if* I could, I would prefer to stay around
probably.
And how would you haunt them?
I would feel a need to watch over them, I would miss them terribly
and I would worry about them.
For example, If my 2 year old baby Daughter approached the edge
of a staircase and almost falls I would try to push her to safety.
I would really ache to hold her and hug my son and wife again.
That isn’t easy to let go some emotional attachments.
I may whisper in my Sons ear to discourage him from making
bad choices, and in making good ones. As like an alternate "conscience".
How long would you stay around?
That one is hard to say, perhaps at some point I would realize
I can't do much in spirit, and would move on. I don't know how
much of a choice I have anyway, and if I could really carry
on like that for long. But sometimes it is hard to let go of
love ones I suppose even for the departed themselves. I defiantly
would find it hard to on look as my daughter dates some questionable
characters in boyfriends later in life.
And helplessly have to witness their courtship without influence.
It would be hard too leave my family now, and I hope and pray
it doesn't happen for a long while, at least until my kids are
grown and out on their own...
Would you come back from the other side to let someone know
that their is an afterlife?
If it would serve them a purpose to know it, sure. Such an
experience can be life
changing. Hey if that could help get or keep someone on the
right spiritual path I say "Yes"

in California, Haunted & Paranormal Investigations International
(H.P.I. International). She has been studying the paranormal
for 13 years and has a very successful and amazing core group
of investigators that she works with.
Shannon has also been chosen to host an episode of a new paranormal
series called "Conversations with a Serial Killer"
out of the UK, airing in late 2008. She and fellow investigator
and Celebrities Psychic, Nancy Bradley, also have another TV
show together called "Ghost Girls". Shannon is a ham
for the camera and loves to hunt for the paranormal!
If you died today would you haunt your family?
I would definitely haunt my family. In fact we all have a pact
together, taken the nature of my career, that we will haunt
each other to prove my theories correct!
And how would you haunt them?
I would scare the hell out of them first by throwing open
some cupboards or something fun like that. Then I would take
items of mine and put them in strategic places in my home so
that they know it's me. I am famous for leaving my crap all
over the house. Then if I had enough energy to appear and speak
to them, I totally would!
How long would you stay around?
I would stay around for as long as I could without getting
too lonely. I think that if no one could see or hear me that
I would be incredibly sad. But, if you know me you know I am
not quiet, so I'd probably be around for a LONG time! I'd change
my name to "Canterville Shannon". I've always liked
that movie.
Would you come back from the other side to let someone know
that their is an afterlife?
Duh! That is what I have been trying to do for 13 years! If
I didn't do that, my job would be pointless!
Also need your name short updated bio like what your involved
in now --- this is a story in the works

archaeologists and paranormal investigators to help understand
what history has not revealed. Until a few years ago, Laine
worked in corporate America, juggling the work and mother dichotomy,
when she literally woke up one morning talking to dead people-
and they talked back! Since then, she has given up the corporate
world to answer to her conscience.
Laine's current projects include a non-fiction book about how
she became suddenly psychic, Investigative Medium: The Awakening
which should be available this year. Mark Nesbitt and Laine
are business partners and own the newly launched Ghost Channel
(www.ghostchannel.tv),

clairsentient, and clairvoyant. Laine has helped historians,
historical organizations, authors and archaeologists discover
details about the history of locations in Virginia, Maryland,
West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

If you died, today would you haunt your family?
I assume the term "haunt" is used loosely here since
this questionnaire is sent to paranormal investigators and could
mean simply to return to family or stick around and hide their
car keys. Both sound like fun. However, I have a pretty good
idea I would immediately cross over and then return as a spirit,
and not a ghost, stuck in this physical dimension. Many of the
spirits I help cross over (actually God does the work, I am
just the mouthpiece) return a day or a week later to let me
know they are alright, or to give messages to folks here. Love
is the strongest emotion, and love is an impenetrable force,
and nothing could keep me away, as a result.
There are forces in our lives that we can understand and explain,
and there are others that mystify and confuse us. But the bond
of love between a parent and a child, and amongst family, even
when severed by death, has no end, for love is a force that
lives without beginning and without end. The ability to love
is the most ennobling gift, and its power can be felt beyond
death and beyond time. So, yes, as my parents and loved ones
have done before me, I will return to my family to ensure they
are safe and follow their life's path, but mostly, because I
love them. They are my Heaven, and fortunately, in the many
dimensions about which Charles WIlliams has enlightened us through
his writings, we have free will and are able to come and go
into this dimension as well. We also know from the writing of
Elsa Barker, when she channeled Judge David P. Hatch after his
death I 1912, a thousand years is a day on the other side. Remaining
with those we love for their lives is such a small amount of
time that it does not keep us from doing our soul's work.
And how would you haunt them?
Fortunately, my children are also mediums, and so visiting
them would be a joy since they can both feel me, and hear me,
and my daughter can see me. I might have to hide my husband's
car keys since he gives me such a hard time about losing mine
so often.
How long would you stay around?
I would be close whenever I am needed, but I would always watch
what was going on in their lives and be available for them at
all times. Thoughts are things, and on the other side, we can
be called by the thoughts of others and travel miles in a split-second
by our own thoughts.
Would you come back from the other side to let someone know
that there is an afterlife?
I would have to visit my business partner, Mark Nesbitt, regularly
to give him some really good evp. In fact, he might be fun to
haunt, as well! I just love to see him pull out his little black
notebook and so excitedly take notes of a paranormal event.

Sherri Brake-Recco (Haunted Heartland Tours)
If you died today would you haunt your family?
I wouldn't necessarily haunted anyone in my family, but I would
like to visit occasionally and leave some signs. I think it
would be wonderful to approach them in dreams where we get to
visit and then when they wake up- they feel better about my
going.
And how would you haunt them?
No haunting of my family and friends but I would enjoy
"messing" with them occasionally! Who could turn THAT
down??
How long would you stay around?
If I did haunt, it would only be a few months but I don't plan
on it. Unless of course someone is responsible for my sudden
death- like the WV Greenbriar Ghost case- then I would haunt
to have justice done.
Would you come back from the other side to let someone know
that there is an afterlife?
I would love to come back and tell others of the "afterlife"
and what lies beyond. If it's good news who wouldn't want to
know!?
